A casual discussion of five alumni members in the last week of June 2022 kickstarted the whole movement towards connecting and collaborating with the 24 batches (as of 2022) of alumni and the present students of the college.

Riaz (ME 2001), Shiyas (ECE 1999), Sangeetha (CSE 1998), Fahad (ECE 2005) and Hisham (IT 2005) were determined to conduct the alumni reunion event in the month of August 2022. When the intent was posted in the alumni Whatsapp group, the name ‘nostu’ was suggested by Anas (ECE 2000) and the logotype was also designed by him. Later he designed a logo for our MES CE Kochi Alumni Chapter as well. One thing led to the other and more people came onboard. A formal team was announced and the work on the get-together was started immediately.

The first Alumni get-together under the name ‘nostu‘ happened on 13th August 2022 at Crowne Plaza Kochi. The event was attended by 200+ Alumni and family.

The success of nostu 2022 led to the decision of uniting all MES CE alumni activities under the newly established nostu brand. A new domain name was registered, content migration was done from the erstwhile static website to the brand new WordPress CMS backed website www.nostu.in.

New initiatives are being planned for the benefit of MES CE students and alumni. We are all hopeful in bringing in new perspectives and give back to our society.

A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step… And, we have already taken that step. Wish good luck to all of us at nostu!
